Plan around the town's big moments
Boerne's calendar is full of signature events that draw the whole Hill Country. A few of the biggest, year after year:
- Dickens on Main: a four-weekend holiday celebration with the Weihnachts parade and festive main street.
- Boerne BierFest: a late-September gathering of more than 30 Texas craft breweries.
- Hill Country Mile Rod Run: classic cars along Main Street each October.
- Texas Corvette Car Show: a spring favorite at the town's showgrounds.
- Hill Country Art & Wine Festival: a Memorial Day weekend tradition at Main Plaza.
Bring the day trips along
Boerne is the perfect base for the wider Hill Country. Within a short drive you can tour the formations at Cave Without a Name, swim or tube the clear water at Guadalupe River State Park, or watch the bats fly at Old Tunnel State Park in the evening.
Wine country sits just beyond too, so a Boerne weekend rarely has to leave the Hill Country to feel complete.
